Coeliac & hepatic angiography

A catheter brought up from the right femoral artery is hooked into the coeliac trunk, then advanced into the hepatic arteries. Turn the C-arm and see which projection opens the hepatic branches and which shows the trunk's origin.

Angiogram

AP 0° 0°

Seen as from the detector: in AP the patient's left is on your right, the head at the top; in the lateral the patient faces your left.

A selective injection fills only the artery the catheter is in and its branches — the spleen goes dark once the catheter is in the common hepatic.

The cystic artery is drawn by the trainer: the anatomical model it is built on has none.
