Renal angiography

A flush aortogram finds the renal ostia and counts the arteries; then each kidney is filled through a Cobra catheter turned into its ostium. Turn the C-arm and see why the ostium is opened in an oblique toward the side being filled.

Angiogram

AP 0° 0°

Seen as from the detector: in AP the patient's left is on your right, the head at the top.

Segmental renal arteries are end arteries: block one and its segment of kidney infarcts, so which division a lesion lies in matters.
